Palworld’s latest Patch v0.1.5.0 made a fair few changes in the game, and players are now claiming that their own Fire Pals can kill them.

The Palworld devs have released a few patches since the game’s release that have significantly changed how the title functions. Although some players were not fond of a few changes in the recent patch, most others were quite satisfied with how the game has been moving.

While catching and nurturing Pals still remains one of the biggest attractions, some Pal types can lead players to their demise if they are not careful enough after the new Patch v0.1.5.0.

Reddit user ‘skewtr’ claimed that their Fire Pals can kill them due to new mechanics introduced. They said: “Your own Fire Pal can kill you if you don’t have enough Heat Resistance because heat sources now stack.” They even shared a screenshot where they were taking damage from their Fire Pals.

After Palworld‘s latest patch, any heat source in the game stacks. This begs for more awareness from players as they can no longer put campfires and Fire Pals in their base without caring about the heat buildup. This is why, coolers and Heat Resistance skills are being encouraged now.

Others have confirmed this as well as one player shared: “So my Fire Pal is cooking while the other Fire Pal is standing next to it, smelting. Add in the iron fire pit to increase efficiency, and that room is now hotter than a volcano.”

Some players were not happy with this addition as they mentioned that it “upsets” them, while others added how “industrialized” players would have to invest in a cooler “to keep things bearable” in Palworld. There are some who praised this as well, calling the game “scientifically accurate.”

Just like any other update, players have mixed opinions about new additions like this heat stacking mechanic. However, as it has been made official by Pocketpair, players will have to get adjusted to this feature and invest in Heat Resistance armor or skills.
