Players find popular Apex Legends voice actors in Cyberpunk 2077
CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 is a highly ambitious game, and fans are discovering new details since its recent release. A few attentive players noticed the voices of some Apex Legends characters in the game.
Before its release, Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the most highly anticipated titles in video game history. In the 8 years since its announcement, the game had built up otherworldly amounts of hype. After several delays, the game finally released on December 10, and fans found a lot to unpack.
One of the more interesting discoveries came from Apex Legends players, who recognized some of the voices in the game. It turns out that some of the voice actors from Respawn’s battle royale title are in Cyberpunk.
Many of these were accidental discoveries from fans that were later verified by the actors. Here are all the ones we’ve found so far.
Loba voice actor in Cyberpunk 2077
Fryda Wolff voices Carol in Cyberpunk, and some fans noted that her voice sounded familiar. This is because she was also the talent that provided the voice work for Loba in Apex Legends.
She was one of the first Apex voice actors to be found in this game. You can hear a sample of her work below.
Wolff tweeted on December 13 that in addition to voicing Carol, she also played a few other characters in the game. This includes a “super shrill stalker fangirl,” as well as some other NPCs.
Crypto voice actor in Cyberpunk 2077
Johnny Young, the voice behind Crypto, was also found voicing a random NPC in a Cyberpunk clip.
You have to listen closely to tell for sure, but it’s definitely him. The voice talent then verified this discovery himself and dropped a hint that he voices more than one character as well.
Octane voice actor in Cyberpunk 2077
Nicolas Roye is the voice of Octane in Apex Legends, and he confirmed on Twitter that he also plays a few characters in Cyberpunk 2077. We don’t know who he provides the voice work for yet, as no confirmed samples of his work have been discovered.
That covers all the known Apex actors in the game at this moment. There’s a good chance that there might be even more that have yet to be discovered. We certainly didn’t expect to hear the voices of some of our favorite Legends in CD Projekt Red’s latest endeavor, let alone to this extent.
Many of these actors played multiple characters, albeit in minor roles. These roles haven’t been found out, and we’ll hopefully hear more familiar voices as we explore the vast futuristic world of Cyberpunk 2077.
