Pokemon Scarlet & Violet April patch to fix Walking Wake & Iron Leaves Tera Raid bugs
The Pokemon Company announced that a new patch for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is coming soon to fix bugs and other issues. Here’s everything we know so far, including the official release date.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet will get another patch very soon, The Pokemon Company confirmed. While players are still waiting for patch notes and other details, they revealed the new update will focus on more bug fixes.
Players are wondering if they’ll get any solution to the corrupted save data error many have been encountering since patch 1.2 came out. For now, all we have is the official release date.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet April patch release date
The Pokemon Company revealed that the next Scarlet and Violet patch will release on April 20, 2023. Patch notes will be available following the release of the update. Version 1.2 of the game was released on February 27, aka Pokemon Day.

According to Serebii, the new update “will fix a few bugs but most notably the bug where players would catch an Egg instead of Walking Wake/Iron Leaves if they were on Version 1.1 when the raid event started.”
The Pokemon Company revealed that Walking Wake and Iron Leaves will return in future events. New Tera Raid Battle dates will arrive on May 1 “and run for approximately two weeks.” An official announcement will be available soon alongside the patch notes.
There’s no official word on the corrupted save data and the ‘save data couldn’t be recognized’ errors many players have been encountering since update 1.2. While there’s an unofficial solution for the former, players are desperately in need of answers for the latter and can’t play the game until the error is fixed.
Players also hope that the April patch will finally bring connectivity between Pokemon Home and Scarlet and Violet, but there aren’t many details as of yet. We’ll keep an eye out for any news regarding this and future patches.
