Some Pokemon can’t spawn in their shiny form even if they have one, so here are all shiny locked Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet, as well as The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk DLC.

Catching shiny Pokemon is a hard task even with all the boosts from Shiny Sandwiches. However, not all Pokemon can be shiny in Scarlet and Violet or its DLC, as some of them are what the community calls “shiny locked.”

Here are all shiny locked Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet, The Teal Mask, and The Indigo Disk DLC.

Every shiny locked Pokemon in Scarlet & Violet

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet came out with quite a list of shiny locked Pokemon, in which we can find some unique and Legendary Pokemon.

Here are all the shiny locked Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet:

• Koraidon
• Miraidon
• Wo-Chien
• Chien-Pao
• Ting-Lu
• Chi-Yu
• Gimmighoul
• Gholdengo

The Box-art Legendaries, the four Pokemon of the Treasures of Ruin quartet, and Gimmighoul’s evolution line can’t appear in its shiny form. Their scripted encounters don’t have the shiny spawn chance, so it is impossible to get them in-game until Game Freak decides to release these via an event or update.

Scarlet & Violet The Teal Mask DLC shiny locked Pokemon

The Teal Mask DLC faces the same situation as the base game, and all Legendary Pokemon or fixed encounters are shiny locked.

The Indigo Disk DLC not only introduces a new type and a new Legendary to catch, but it also brings back many Legends from past games. All these, alongside the new additions to the Paradox Pokemon roster, are shiny locked.

• Iron Crown
• Iron Boulder
• Gourging Fire
• Raging Bolt
• Terapagos
• All past games’ Legendary Pokemon unlocked via the Snacksworth side quest.
