Espathra weaknesses in Pokemon explained
As a pure Psychic-type Pokemon, Espathra is weak against Dark, Ghost, and Bug-type attacks.
Espathra is based on an ostrich, which makes it a bird Pokemon. However, this is not reflected in Espathra’s type combination, although you can get it from the Flying Egg group, and it can learn many Flying-type moves. It’s important to keep this in mind not to be caught off-guard.
Espathra resistances in Pokemon explained
Espathra can only resist Fighting and Psychic-type attacks in Pokemon.
Alongside its resistances, Espathra can learn Flying and Fairy-type moves to cover some of its weaknesses and catch opponents by surprise.
Espathra strengths in Pokemon explained
Espathra can deal super-effective damage to Poison and Fighting-type Pokemon with its Psychic-type STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) moves.
Fighting-type Pokemon have no chance against Espathra, as its Fairy and Flying-type moves can also deal super-effective damage against them. What’s more, they are also helpful when dealing with Bug, Grass, Dragon, and Dark-type Pokemon.
Best Espathra moves in Pokemon
The best moves for Espathra in Pokemon are Stored Power, Lumina Crash, Dazzling Gleam, and Calm Mind.
- Stored Power is a move which damage increases for each stage a stat was increased. If Espathra has the Speed Boost ability, you’ll have an extremely powerful attack with STAB in just a couple of turns.
- Lumina Crash is another powerful Psychic-type move and it lowers the opponent’s Sp. Def by two stages.
- Dazzling Gleam is the go-to Fairy-type coverage move to deal with super-effective Dark types.
- Calm Mind increases both the Special Attack and Special Defense stat of Espathra by one stage, so it’s best paired with Stored Power to make it a force to be reckoned with.
Other good moves for Espathra include Protect, Baton Pass, Roost, Shadow Ball, and Tera Blast.
