Where to find Blaziken 7-Star Tera Raid in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
You can find Blaziken Tera Raid spots in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet by locating Black Crystals shining on the game map. By going to these spots, you can immediately take part in the 7-Star Tera Raid event.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Blaziken Tera Raid type & speculated moveset
Blaziken has the Flying Tera Type in its Pokemon Scarlet and Violet 7-Star Tera Raid. This makes it weak to Electric, Ice, and Rock-type moves.
Trainers should preferably use Electric-type counters, as Blaziken’s STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) Fire and Fighting-type moves can hit Ice and Rock-type Pokemon super-effectively.
That said, you can still use Ice and Rock-type Pokemon as long as you set a Tera Type not weak to Blaziken’s moves or if either of these two types is combined with another type that results in the Pokemon resisting Blaziken’s moves.
Coming to its moveset, Blaziken has any four of the following moves during the Raid battle:
- Blaze Kick (Fire)
- Overheat (Fire)
- Low Kick (Fighting)
- Bulk Up (Fighting)
- Brave Bird (Flying)
- Earthquake (Ground)
- Rock Slide (Rock)
- Swords Dance (Normal)
Best counters for Blaziken Tera Raid in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
The best counters for defeating Blaziken Tera Raids in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are Miraidon, Toxapex, Iron Boulder, Baxcalibur, and Bellibolt.
Blaziken has the deadly Speed Boost Ability, giving it a 50% increase in Speed every single turn. You can more or less expect the Raid Boss to outspeed you, so it’s important to use counters that have a good defensive profile, either recovering or getting boosts from Blaziken’s attacks.
In addition, you should also halt Blaziken from setting up a sweep by taking out its boosts and limiting its offenses.
Best Miraidon strategy for Blaziken Tera Raid
The Legendary Miraidon is one of the strongest Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet with a high Special Attack stat and a variety of powerful moves at its disposal.
What makes Miraidon truly dangerous is its Hadron Engine Ability that summons Electric Terrain on entry into the battlefield, boosting Electric-type move damage by 50% and its Special Attack by 30%. Additionally, Electric Terrain also weakens Blaziken’s Earthquake, which is super-effective against Electric-types.
With Reflect, it can reduce damage taken from Blaziken’s move by half, further taking advantage of its natural resistance to Fire and Flying-type moves.
Add in Metal Sound to Miraidon’s Raid moveset for good measure, as it reduces the Raid Boss’ Special Defense by two stages. Then, dish out massive damage with Parabolic Charge, healing itself in the process while having its damage boosted in Electric Terrain.
Best Toxapex strategy for Blaziken Tera Raid
No matter how formidable Blaziken looks during its Tera Raid, Toxapex is arguably the best option in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to completely shut down the Raid Boss’ sweeping potential.
For starters, it resists both Fire and Fighting-type moves, while also having a massive 152 Defense stat to boot. It can use Rain Dance to weaken Blaziken’s Fire-type moves, Haze to eliminate all stat boosts that Blaziken can get from Swords Dance and Speed Boost, and add Reflect to lower its damage output.
Additionally, it can use Chilling Water and Acid Spray to lower Blaziken’s Attack and Special Attack respectively. Chilling Water is particularly useful in lowering Earthquake’s damage, making it a boon for Toxapex as well as other teammates. So if you’re looking to hinder the Raid Boss and make it easier for your teammates and other Pokemon to take it down, Toxapex is the way to go!
Best Iron Boulder strategy for Blaziken Tera Raid
Iron Boulder made its debut in the Indigo Disk DLC of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and is already touted as one of the strongest additions to the meta due to its excellent stats and moveset.
With an impressive Attack stat of 120 and its signature move Mighty Cleave, Iron Boulder hits hard and takes out a huge chunk of HP from Blaziken. Additionally, it resists both Fire and Flying-type moves, giving it a neat defensive profile.
It can also use Taunt to prevent Blaziken from using Swords Dance or Bulk Up and run Modest Nature to have its Special Attack further boosted by Miraidon’s Electric Terrain. In such cases, you don’t need to have Booster Energy as the help item, and instead, can use Shell Bell to ensure 12.5% recovery whenever Iron Boulder attacks the Raid Boss.
Best Baxcalibur strategy for Blaziken Tera Raid
The Pseudo Legendary of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is incredibly strong, having good offenses as well as defenses in its arsenal.
But what makes Baxcalibur stand out is its Thermal Exchange Ability, which not only prevents it from getting Burnt but also boosts its already phenomenal Attack stat by 50% when hit by a Fire-type move. With Dragon or Fairy Tera Type, it can resist Blaziken’s Fire and Fighting-type moves respectively, turning into a wrecking machine if Swords Dance is used.
Additionally, with powerful Ice-type moves like Icicle Crash combined with a Choice Band, or Icicle Spear combined with a Loaded Dice, an Adamant Nature Baxcalibur can deal massive damage to Blaziken in the Tera Raid battle.
Best Bellibolt strategy for Blaziken Tera Raid
Bellibolt is an extremely flexible Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet, due to its Ability, moveset, and superb bulk.
Thanks to its Ability Electromorphosis, Bellibolt gets a boost to its damage output whenever hit by a move, and with excellent HP and defense, it sure can take a hit or two. With Parabolic Charge in tow, it can recover the lost damage.
That’s not all, as Bellibolt also has Chilling Water and Acid Spray (like Toxapex) to lower Blaziken’s Defense and Special Defense. Moreover, it can also set Electric Terrain, boosting its Electric-type attacks even further.
