Strength of Steel Collection Challenge rewards in Pokemon Go

  • This Ore That Collection Challenge: 5000 Stardust, 100x Steelix Mega Energy, and an encounter with Steelix
  • Heavy Metal Collection Challenge: 5000 Stardust, 100x Aggron Mega Energy, and an encounter with Aggron
  • Chrome Catch Collection Challenge: 5000 Stardust, 100x Scizor Mega Energy, and an encounter with Scizor

In their base form, Steelix is one of the strongest species in the Great and Ultra League, taking on Fairy, Ice, and Dragon-type opponents with ease. It is also the perfect counter to Giratina Altered, one of the most formidable additions to the lower tiers of the Go Battle League.

On the other hand, if you have enough Mega Energy, Scizor is the best in PvE. In Pokemon Go, using a Mega Evolution in Raids boosts the damage output of other Steel-type counters in the battle.

Pokemon Go Strength of Steel event date & time

The Strength of Steel event will run until Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 8 PM (local time). During this time, you can earn bonus XL Candy from each catch and from getting Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws, so keep that in mind.

Once you get enough XL Candy from Beldum spawns in Pokemon Go, make sure you power up its evolution Metagross to dominate the Master League.
