How to fix Pokemon Go Curveball bug making catches impossibly hard
Niantic/The Pokemon CompanyAn annoying Curveball bug in Pokemon Go is getting on players’ nerves as catching any Pokemon is becoming quite a pain. Here’s how to fix it.
The introduction of Biomes in Pokemon Go has been lauded by players, giving them a fresh outlook on Pokemon encounters, thanks to the amazing backgrounds. That said, this update seems to have brought its share of issues, mainly affecting the throw of Curveballs.
Trainers attempting to throw a Curveball are unable to land it accurately, as any Poke Ball seems to sway further than intended. This is especially worrisome during Raids or when encountering a shiny, as you need to catch the Pokemon quickly before your stock of Poke Balls runs out.
With Curveballs offering several bonuses like increased catch chances and a bonus of 10 XP, you must be eager to solve it ASAP. So, here’s how to fix the Curveball bug in Pokemon Go.
How to solve Curveball bug in Pokemon Go
You can fix the Curveball bug by turning off the ‘Native Refresh Rate’ toggle in Pokemon Go.
Here’s how you can do it:
- Tap on the Poke Ball icon at the bottom of your home screen.
- Go to ‘Settings’ located at the top-right corner.
- Scroll down the menu to ‘Advanced Settings’ and click on it.
- Under the ‘Quality’ category, find the ‘Native Refresh Rate’ toggle and turn it off.
Keep in mind that doing this affects the quality of graphics to a certain extent, but there’s nothing to worry about. Rest assured, you can still play Pokemon Go and take part in all parts of the game.
