How to get Armarouge & Ceruledge in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Game Freak/The Pokemon CompanyArmarouge & Ceruledge are two powerful Pokemon from Scarlet and Violet’s Generation 9 roster. They are the evolution of Charcadet, and they can be tricky to add to your Pokedex, so here’s how to get Charcadet and evolve it into Armarouge or Ceruledge in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduced players to a ton of new Pokemon in the Paldea region. Along with new Pokemon, trainers are looking to discover the unique evolution requirements for certain creatures.
Armarouge and Ceruledge are two version-exclusive Pokemon that have been popular additions in Scarlet and Violet. In order to obtain them, their pre-evolution Charcadet requires a special item.
Here’s how to get that item and obtain Armarouge and Ceruledge in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
How to get Charcadet in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
The first step in getting Armarouge or Ceruledge in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is to catch a Charcadet. Luckily, Charcadets are quite common across the Paldea region and can be found in the orange locations seen on the map above.
While it lives in many parts of Paldea, Charcadet’s Pokedex entry specifies that it’s very rarely seen, so you may have to do some searching to find it. To spot it, keep an eye out for its tiny red flams in the overworld.
How to evolve Charcadet in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Now that you’ve caught a Charcadet the next step is to obtain the Auspicious Armor (Scarlet) or Malicious Armor (Violet). As you may have already guessed, Armarouge is exclusive to Scarlet, while Ceruledge is exclusive to Violet.
To obtain these items you’ll have to trade with the man seen in the image above. He will ask for 10 Bronzor Fragments in Scarlet or 10 Sinistea Chips in Violet. Once you’ve collected these 10 items, head to Zapicico.
- Catch Charcadet
- Obtain 10 Bronzor Fragments or Sinistea Chips
- Trade the above items with the NPC in Zapicico to get an Auspicious Armor or Malicious Armor
- Give Auspicious Armor or Malicious Armor to Charcadet
You can obtain Bronzor Fragments and Sinistea Chips by catching or defeating any Pokemon from their respective evolution lines.
There’s no limit to how many Auspicious Armor and Malicious Armor you can trade for. Once obtained, you’ll have to give it to Charcadet who will then evolve into either Armarouge or Ceruledge.
