How to catch Sandygast in Pokemon Go
Currently, there are two ways to get Sandygast in Pokemon Go:
- By completing the ‘Catch 10 Pokemon’ Field Research task during the Slumbering Sands event.
- By catching it in the wild during the event.
Sandygast’s spawns are boosted during the Slumbering Sands event, so you’ll get better chances. The Sand Heap Pokemon is usually associated with the Summer, so you’ll probably get more chances during this season.
The Slumbering Sands event runs until June 12, 2024, at 8 PM (local time).

After catching Sandygast, Pokemon Go players need to spend 50 Candy to evolve it into Palossand. This is the only way to get Palossand in Pokemon Go, as it doesn’t headline Raids.

Can Sandygast be shiny in Pokemon Go?
No, shiny Sandygast and shiny Palossand aren’t available in Pokemon Go at the moment. Players might have to wait for Sandygast’s own Community Day or another special event to get its shiny version.
