Iconic Pokemon Go Pseudo Legendary finally comes to Raids & it’s soloable
NianticOne of the strongest and most popular Pseudo Legendaries is now available in Pokemon Go Raids and its 3-Star tier also makes it soloable.
The Raid Boss in question is none other than the fan-favorite Garchomp. While other Pseudo Legendaries like Dragonite, Tyranitar, and Salamence have often been in Raids, this Dragon/Ground-type Pokemon has never been featured in its base form.
So, players wasted no time flocking to Gyms to battle this powerhouse. One such trainer is Reddit user ‘state-of-dreaming’ who posted about the surprise arrival of Garchomp in 3-Star Raids.
Thanks to its double weakness to Ice-type attacks, you can beat it with ease, as many players pointed out.
A fan commented: “At T3, Garchomp can be solo’d with a few good Ice [types] backed up by Dragons and Fairies” as others mentioned that the solo is possible through Pokemon that are very “accessible” such as Mamoswine, Galarian Darmanitan, Glaceon, and Weavile.
Additionally, many users highlighted that these counters don’t need to be maxed out or powered up to high levels. They said anyone can solo with them “despite only half of them cracking Lv30.”
The OP added that due to its Mega being available in the game, you can expect increased shiny chances of 1 in 128 rather than the usual full odds of 1 in 512. Garchomp with Ground-type moves is also a top counter to a highly-anticipated Mega Evolution debuting on July 27, 2024.
“If you need counters for Mega Lucario try and get a team of 6 before it comes out, Garchomp will be pretty good,” a player wrote.
Keep in mind that Garchomp will be available in Pokemon Go Raids until July 25. If you catch one with perfect IVs, be sure to use an Elite Charged TM to give it the powerful move Earth Power.
