Iconic Pokemon Go Pseudo Legendary finally returns as Community Day Classic
NianticAugust 2024 just became even more exciting for Pokemon Go players as this month’s Community Day Classic features an OP Pseudo Legendary everyone has eagerly waited for.
It’s none other than Metagross, the mighty Steel/Psychic-type Pokemon that is a monster in Raids and the Go Battle League. The Community Day Classic happens every two months and fans have demanded Metagross receive the spotlight due to how invaluable it is for their teams.
With Pokemon Go’s X account showing Beldum, Metagross’ pre-evolution, in an official Community Day tease, user ‘slasherman’ posted the news in the Silph Road subreddit, leaving everyone hyped.
Many in the comments said that this was the most excited they had been for a Community Day “in ages” and are looking forward to the event.
While Metagross and its Shadow version are surpassed by the Legendary Dusk Mane Necrozma in damage output, many pointed out why the former is more viable. “Second place is still pretty good, especially as realistically most people won’t have any more than one Dusk Mane Necrozma,” a fan stated.
Others added that even if people grinded Go Fest 2024 rigorously to get multiple Dusk Mane Necrozma, it would need impossibly high Stardust to max out, something Metagross can do at a 75% lesser amount.
This prompted a player to comment: “I’m dreaming of those sweet sweet XLs. Finally I’ll be able to get my shiny and my shadow above 4k.” Getting Candy XLs for a Legendary is a nightmare, while it’s way easier for other species like Metagross.
The Beldum Community Day will take place on August 18 from 2 PM to 5 PM local time, and evolving to Metagross teaches it Meteor Mash. If you already have a perfect IV catch, use an Elite Charged TM to get this powerful Charged Move.
Don’t forget to have a Steel or Psychic-type Mega Evolution like Lucario, Steelix, Aggron, or Alakazam to earn bonus XL Candies each time you catch Beldum during this exciting Pokemon Go event.
