A Pokemon Go trainer’s “insanely rare” shiny grab of a popular Mon has shocked fans with its jaw-dropping encounter odds of one in two million.

Shinies are arguably the most sought-after Pokemon in any game, and even though the grind is easier in Pokemon Go, players search for these rare finds day and night.

While getting a shiny with perfect stats, also known as a ‘hundo,’ is the icing on the cake, there’s another even rarer version, as highlighted by users in a Reddit post by a trainer named ‘Alextricity’ where they showed a shiny Bidoof and asked, “how rare is a 0/0/0 shiny?”

Right off the bat, fellow trainers lauded the catch with comments such as: “You’ve won the game. Congrats” and “I’m so jealous.”

A user pointed out how coveted a zero IV (nundo) shiny Bidoof is in Pokemon Go. “No joke, been playing this game since launch, and have joked with friends about my holy grail Pokemon being a 0/0/0 shiny Bidoof.” they wrote.

Others mentioned that a zero IV Mon is rarer than a 100 IV version since Field Research encounters, Egg hatches, and weather boosts lead to some minimum IV floors such as 4/4/4, meaning it’s “insanely rare” to get one with zero stats across the board.

To give fans a perspective, a player mentioned that the odds of finding a 0 IV shiny Bidoof in the wild are one in 2,097,152 encounters, leaving everyone off-guard at the unbelievable numbers.

“I’ve never got a 0 0 0 Pokemon. Not once. Been playing on and off since game release,” a trainer replied before another said, “I’m level 50, with a shit ton of hundreds, 2 shundos, 3 100% shadows, etc. etc. STILL I’ve never encountered or caught a nundo shiny.”

While you search for such a species in Pokemon Go, check out how to get other rare finds like Frigibax and Larvesta.
