Lucky Pokemon Go player’s ‘ridiculously’ rare Egg hatch leaves fans jealous
NianticA Pokemon Go player has shocked everyone by hatching a hundo (100 IV) of the rarest and most sought-after Pokemon in the game, something that only a few lucky trainers have.
Adding all available Pokemon to the Pokedex is not easy for Pokemon Go players, as some species can only be obtained by hatching Eggs. It gets even trickier as these Egg-exclusive Pokemon are often meta-relevant, making them excellent for PvP and PvE battles.
Fans looking to get them often end up walking hundreds of kilometers to add these prized assets to their collection. So when one trainer got a hundo of the rarest Egg hatch in the game, the community couldn’t help but marvel at their luck.
The trainer, named ‘SpumScum’ on Reddit, shared a screengrab of their 100 IV Larvesta hatch in Pokemon Go and wrote: “What are the odds of this? I think I won.”
The exceptionally rare hatch wowed many Pokemon Go fans who joined the comments section to laud the perfect stats grab.
“You’re so lucky I haven’t hatched one yet,” a user wrote as another added: “Pretty sure you won the game! Congrats!”
Others called the hatch “ridiculous” as they celebrated the OP’s “insane luck” that they not only nailed the super rare Pokemon but also a 100 IV one to boot, as one said, “Good lord I can’t even hatch ONE and you got a HUNDO?! Jealousy and curses.”
As one player mentioned that it took them “600 hatches to even get one [Larvesta],” others pointed out the odds of hatching Larvesta from Eggs in Pokemon Go is less than 1%, making the hundo all the more rare and impressive.
One user did the math and revealed that the odds are around “1/21600 to get specifically a hundo Larvesta,” taking others aback with the absurd rarity.
You should note that Larvesta cannot be found in the wild or Raids, and can only be obtained from 2km, 5km, and 10km Eggs, being the rarest in the pool of possible hatches. Additionally, Larvesta requires a whopping 400 Candy to evolve into Volcarona, a top Bug and Fire-type Pokemon.
Meanwhile, you can also take a look at how to get other extremely rare species in Pokemon Go such as Frigibax and Zygarde.
