Part three of Ultra Unlock bonuses in Pokemon Go is a goldmine for farming the elusive XL Candy easily and the community is hyped.

Aside from debuting shiny Togedemaru and featuring several Steel-type Pokemon in the wild and Raids, the Strength of Steel event offers bonus XL Candies for regular catches as well as Nice or better Throws.

To take advantage of this event, a Reddit post by user ‘Exaskryz’ highlighted a list of viable attackers for whom you can grab even more XL Candy. By powering them up, you can get more wins in Raids and the Go Battle League (GBL).

This led fans to share some of the biggest takeaways from the event. They were excited for the XL Candy gains that provide an opportunity to build Steelix, Skarmory, and Galarian Stunfisk for the Ultra League.

Based on this, a trainer asked, “What about UL Bronzong? It needs XLs to reach the CP limit” before another replied that it can be of great use in the Limited Cup meta.

Coming to the Master League, a player questioned the OP’s choice to include Metagross in the Open tier when it’s outclassed by Dusk Mane Necrozma. “Metagross still ranks #57 (Shadow form at #100). This is still top 10%,” the OP explained, proving that this Pseudo Legendary still has a place in the meta.

Steel types are some of the most dominant forces in combat, thanks to their resistance to some of the biggest threats such as Dragon, Ice, and Fairy types. This makes them an excellent counter for these Raid Bosses as well as safe switch-ins for the GBL.

The Strength of Steel event runs from Thursday, July 25, at 10 AM to Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 8 PM (local time).

Remember to keep the Mega Evolutions of Scizor and Steelix active in Pokemon Go to grab even more XL Candies from your catches during the event.
