Pokemon Go revealed the next Community Day Classic event, and players will get the chance to catch as many Beldum as they can to get one of the best Pseudo Legendaries in the game.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Beldum Community Day Classic event, including the featured move, shiny odds, and more.

Beldum Community Day Classic date & time

The Beldum Community Day Classic will take place on Sunday, August 18, 2024, from 2 PM to 5 PM (local time).

Players are excited for this one, as they’ll be able to stock up on Beldum Candy to power up Metagross for PvP and PvE.

This is your chance to power up your best Metagross.

Can Beldum be shiny?

Yes, Beldum can be shiny in Pokemon Go. This means you can get shiny Metang and Metagross by evolving a shiny Beldum. The odds of encountering a shiny Beldum during the Community Day Classic are approximately 1 in 25 or 4%.

Beldum Community Day Classic featured move

Trainers who evolve Metang during the event or up to two hours afterward will get a Metagross that knows the Steel-type Charged Attack Meteor Mash.

Meteor Mash boasts 100 power in Trainer battles, Gym battles, and Raids. This move is one of the best Steel-type attacks in the game, with a great balance between energy cost, power, DPS, and duration.

Pokemon Go Beldum Community Day Classic Research

Beldum Community Day Classic will feature Field and Special Research for players to complete.

Field Research tasks consisting of catching Beldum will be available for players that spin PokeStops during the event. Rewards include Stardust, Great Balls, and additional encounters with Beldum.

Additionally, for $1 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access the Beldum Community Day Classic–exclusive Special Research story. We’ll update this section once the Special Research is online.

Bonuses

1/4 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event.
Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise.

How to prepare

Stock up on different Poke Balls to catch as many Beldum as possible during the event.
Don’t throw away berries as they’re useful increase the amount of Candy obtained with each catch.
Free enough space in your Pokemon Storage Box. You can always buy upgrades in the Item Shop.
Save a Lure Module and an Incense since they can last the whole event thanks to the bonuses.
If you have spare PokeCoins, use them to get useful items like Lucky Eggs (more XP) or Star Pieces (more Stardust).

Keep an eye on the Pokemon Go event schedule to know what else is coming to the game, and make sure to challenge Mega Aerodactyl and Mega Kangaskhan while you can.
