Pokemon Go is celebrating the final month of its Adventures Abound season with a huge Dia de Muertos event. This event brings back Pokemon dressed with traditional cempasúchil crowns from prior events and features the debut of several new costumed Pokemon.

Pokemon Go Dia de Muertos 2023 event start date & schedule
Pokemon Go Dia de Muertos 2023 is currently active and will run until Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 8 PM local time.
Trainers can already catch a selection of festival-themed Pokemon and the new Costumed Cubone and Marowak.
Pokemon Go Dia de Muertos 2023 Costumed Cubone & Marowak
During the Pokemon Go Dia de Muertos 2023 a new Costumed Cubone alongside its evolution, Marowak, will be spawning. Both of them can be shiny, and if you are lucky, you can get one of these rare Costumed Pokemon wearing cempasúchil crowns.
Keep in mind that you can always catch a special event Cubone and evolve it into Marowak by using 50 Cubone candies. This is also a good chance for those struggling to finish some of the Story Research that requires you to catch this species.

Pokemon marked with a (*) can appear in their shiny versions, additionally, Pokemon Go players living in Latin America and the Caribbean will have an increased surge of these wild spawns in their areas.
Incense and Lure encounters

Pokemon Go Dia de Muertos 2023 event bonuses
Trainers participating in the Pokemon Go Dia de Muertos 2023 event can enjoy the following bonuses:
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for 90 minutes.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokemon.
- Incense activated during the event will last for 90 minutes. This does not include the Daily Adventure Incense.
- Duskull PokeStop showcases will be active during the event.
Pokemon Go players living in Latin America and the Caribbean will receive additional Candy for transferring Pokemon during the event.
