Pokemon Go exploit is giving players another Master Ball but it’s not a good idea

A new Pokemon Go exploit is running rampant and was recently put into the spotlight by members of the community. It seems that some players were able to duplicate the Master Ball following certain conditions, but Pokemon Go players may want to proceed with caution.

The Master Ball made its Pokemon Go debut in May 2023, during a Pokemon Go special Research Event, by the End of Season 10: Rising Heroes, so it’s been quite some time since players made use of the precious item. According to some Reddit users and Pokemon Go players, there’s a glitch that could duplicate the Master Ball, when used under certain circumstances.

Many players have risked a penalty to their accounts in order to get their hands on a second Master Ball. According to the sources, there are some Mythical Pokemon that, when spawning during the Research Encounter, offer the chance to throw a Master Ball at them. When using the Master Ball on said Pokemon, it doesn’t deplete the usage of the item.

The only exception, where the glitch does not activate, is when trying to catch Meltan. However, Mythical Pokemon spawning at the end of Research have zero chance of fleeing. Therefore, risking a ban is a strange decision from some players.

Sources like TheGamer and even some players in the community have confirmed that the exploit exists and is working. Keep in mind that we do not encourage its use, as it would be against Niantic’s user agreement.

Players know that Niantic is not the most forgiving when punishing those Pokemon Go fans that abuse third-party software, much less, glitches and exploits.

Ninatic rules are absolutely clear, so it’s likely that this could result in massive bans and, of course, the correction of the aforementioned exploit. However, it remains to be seen if measures are going to be enforced soon.
