With Pokemon Go Routes being largely inaccessible since its release, players were eagerly waiting to start creating them in the game. Now, Pokemon Go has finally enabled Routes creation for more players.

Pokemon Go has been rolling out several new features in the game, including Shadow Raids, Showcases, Pokemon Go Plus+, and Routes. While players welcomed these features warmly, there was a lot of confusion over Routes.

The Routes feature required players to create paths to show off interesting sights in their cities. Other players who discover these Routes can follow them and find exciting rewards such as Zygarde Cells. Zygarde is an interesting Pokemon as it has various forms, and its final form is one of the most powerful species in the game. However, this final form can only be obtained through Zygarde Cells and so, players have been looking forward to creating and exploring Routes.

With the Routes creation feature being randomly available only to a few level 50 players till now, most players were left frustrated with the inability to create Routes. But, after a lot of concerns raised by players, Pokemon Go seems to have finally addressed the issue.

Pokemon Go level 48-50 players can now create Routes

As shared by Pokemon Go player InvisibleSoul8 on The Silph Road, the app has finally enabled Route creation for players of levels 48-50 in the game. Players of these in-game levels can restart Pokemon Go and be able to create Routes.

Do note that Route creation is only half the job as Routes need to be sent to Niantic for approval. While Niantic had assured that the approval process for Routes would take up to 24 hours, many players found the process to be longer.

That said, it looks like the time taken for approval isn’t the main concern for eligible players as they are frustrated with their submissions being rejected by Niantic. While one player had “at least three nearly identical routes published” near a small municipal pond, another had theirs rejected apparently due to ‘school’ being spelled out in the location near Schooleys Mountain Park.

Previously, Niantic has rejected PokeStop submissions for places like school grounds, cemeteries, and busy roads. We assume the same rule will be applied to Route submissions in Pokemon Go.

We will give an update once we have more on Routes creation and their submissions to Niantic. In the meantime, you can check out where to find Kangaskhan in Pokemon Go and all details about Pokemon Go Fest 2023.
