Although Pokemon Go Fest 2023 is right around the corner, Niantic have unveiled a new Pokemon Go event for players to enjoy soon. The Glittering Garden event will feature some of the Pokemon that will headline the London and Osaka in-person events, so players should keep an eye out for shiny debuts and useful bonuses.

Pokemon Go Glittering Garden event dates
The Pokemon Go Glittering Garden event will run from Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 10 AM to Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 8 PM (local time).
Pokemon Go Fest 2023 will take place in Osaka and London from August 4 to August 6, so global players will get a little taste of the experience through this event.
Pokemon Go Glittering Garden event wild encounters
The Pokemon Go Glittering Garden event will highlight some of the Grass-type and Fairy-type Pokemon that will appear in Pokemon Go Fest: London and Osaka. The following Pokemon will appear more frequently in the wild:
- Bulbasaur
- Jigglypuff
- Oddish
- Hoppip
- Seedot
- Cacnea
- Petilil
- Ferroseed
- Spritzee
- Swirlix
- Dedenne
Shiny Petilil is debuting with the Glittering Garden event, meaning all the Pokemon listed above can appear in shiny form during the event.
Additionally, certain Pokemon will appear more frequently in parks each day as follows:
- August 5: Petilil
- August 6: Cacnea
- August 7: Oddish
- August 8: Seedot
Pokemon Go Glittering Garden event Eggs
The following Pokemon will hatch from 2 km Eggs during the Pokemon Go Glittering Garden event:
Pokemon Go Glittering Garden event Field & Timed Research
Pokemon Go players will be able to tackle themed Field Research tasks alongside a free Timed Research during the Glittering Garden event.
Trainers that spin PokeStops during the Glittering Garden event will get Field Research tasks they can complete to encounter Tangela, Roselia, Petilil, or Foongus.
On the other hand, the free Timed Research will give trainers tasks focused on exploration and hatching Eggs. Players interested in the rewards must complete all tasks before Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 8 PM (local time).
Pokemon Go Glittering Garden event bonuses
These bonuses will be active during the Pokemon Go Glittering Garden event:
- 1/2 distance to earn hearts with your Buddy Pokemon.
- 1.5x Candy for hatching Pokemon.
- 1.5x Stardust for hatching Pokemon.
- Increased chance of earning Candy XL when walking with your Buddy Pokemon.
