The Mythical Shaymin is available for those who purchased the Glimmers of Gratitude Masterwork Research in Pokemon Go. Here’s everything you need to know about its tasks and rewards, as well as how to change Shaymin’s forms.

While Pokemon Go players can have as many of the same Legendary Pokemon as they want, Mythical Pokemon are still very unique to Niantic’s AR experience. They can’t be traded and are only available through special events or different types of Research.

After debuting in Pokemon Go Fest 2022, Shaymin is headlining a new global Masterwork Research for players who took part in the Go Tour Sinnoh event. Here’s everything there is to know about Shaymin’s return to Pokemon Go.

How to get Shaymin in Pokemon Go

To get Shaymin in Pokemon Go, players need to complete the Glimmers of Gratitude Masterwork Research that was available for purchase during the Sinnoh Go Tour event.

Starting on February 17, 2024, trainers who participated in the Sinnoh Go Tour received access to the Masterwork Research automatically. So, if you took part in the event, you should have already started this Research.

There’s no time limit for the completion of the Masterwork Research, although only players who purchased the ticket Prior to February 25 will be able to complete the tasks and earn the Shaymin encounter rewards.

Here’s how to complete every Glimmers of Gratitude Masterwork Research (Global) task and its rewards in Pokemon Go:

Pokemon Go: How to change Shaymin formes

To change Shaymin from Sky Forme to Land Forme and vice versa, Pokemon Go players need to press the “Change Form” button below the Power Up button in their Shaymin summary. Trainers will need to spend 25 Shaymin Candy and 10000 Stardust each time they change forms, so keep this in mind.

Pokemon Go devs have confirmed that every Shaymin caught as part of the Masterwork Research Glimmers of Gratitude will automatically unlock both Sky Forme and Land Forme, and trainers will be able to switch between them at will.

Shaymin caught during previous events or as a reward for prior Research will not be able to switch Formes.
