With Pokemon Go Fest 2023 around the corner, players can complete a new Timed Research titled In the Rough. If you want to know more about the only chance to get Carbink in the game, we’ve got you covered.

Pokemon Go is getting ready to celebrate its seventh anniversary with a new Pokemon Go Fest event and players can already enjoy an upcoming debut. A new premium Timed Research is rolling up for players with Carbink as its ultimate reward. The Hidden Gems season of the game will also introduce players to Diancie soon.

In the Rough Timed Research tasks & rewards in Pokemon Go

Here are all of the In the Rough Timed Research tasks and rewards in Pokemon Go:

• Play with your buddy 5 times – 1 Lure Module
• Open 5 Gifts – 10 Ultra Balls
• Make 10 Great Throws – 500 Stardust
• Power up 10 Rock or Fairy-type Pokemon – Onix encounter
• Catch 25 different species of Pokemon – 1 Lucky Egg

Completion rewards: Carbink encounter, 3 Silver Pinap Berries, and 3000 XP

How to get In the Rough Timed Research in Pokemon Go

The Pokemon Go In The Rough Timed Research is available for players that purchased a Pokemon Go Fest 2023 Global ticket before July 5.

Eligible trainers that claim this Timed Research before July 5 will be able to get another one starting July 15. If you haven’t purchased an event ticket, but you do it between July 5 and August 1, you’ll be able to claim the second Timed Research.

This is currently the only way to get Carbink in Pokemon Go. There might be another way to get it a few months after Pokemon Go Fest 2023. We’ll update this guide if this Timed Research becomes available for all players in the future.
