September has been an exciting month for the Pokemon Go community, as it marked the beginning of the Adventures Abound Season and the debut of Paldean Pokemon from the Gen 9 games.

Now, fans are in for a treat as the Out to Play event gives them the chance to capture several species from the Hisui region, including a new shiny Pokemon.

But that’s not all because you will also be able to enjoy amazing bonuses as well as updates to the popular Routes feature.

Pokemon Go Out to Play event date & time

The Pokemon Go Out to Play event runs from September 27, 2023, at 10 AM until October 2, 2023, at 8 PM local time.

You can encounter various Pokemon from the Hisui region in the game throughout this duration.

Pokemon Go Out to Play bonuses

Players can enjoy the following bonuses in the Pokemon Go Out to Play event:

• Kecleon will appear more frequently at PokeStops.
• Get 3x XP for completing a Route.
• Earn Buddy Candy faster while exploring Routes with your Buddy.

Pokemon Go Out to Play new shiny

You may encounter shiny Hisuian Growlithe in Pokemon Go with the start of the Out to Play event.

Lucky players who catch a shiny Hisuian will be able to evolve it into a shiny Hisuian Arcanine with 50 Candy.

The odds of finding a shiny Hisuian Growlithe in Pokemon Go will be 1 in 500 or 0.2% chance.

Pokemon Go Out to Play featured spawns

The following species are featured as wild spawns in the Pokemon Go Out to Play event:

• Psyduck
• Growlithe
• Onix
• Eevee
• Feebas
• Woobat
• Pawmi
• Arcanine

You should note that Arcanine will be rarer than the other spawns.

Pokemon Go Out to Play Egg pool

Pokemon Go players can hatch Hisuian Growlithe from 2km and 7km Eggs during the Out to Play event.

Hisuian Growlithe hatched from these Eggs can also be shiny.

You can encounter these species from Field Research tasks during the Pokemon Go Out to Play event:

Pokemon Go Out to Play: Free Timed Research

Free Timed Research based on Routes and exploring your surroundings is available throughout the Pokemon Go Out to Play event.

Completing the Research tasks will earn you several in-game items, Stardust, and encounters with Hisuian Growlithe.

Pokemon Go Out to Play Tails of Adventure: Paid Timed Research

You can access an event-exclusive Timed Research called ‘Tails of Adventure’ for $2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency) during the Pokemon Go Out to Play event.

Here are the rewards that players will receive on completing the Tails of Adventure Research tasks:

• Six encounters with Hisuian Growlithe
• Five encounters with Growlithe
• Two Incubators
• One Super Incubator

The ticket for Tails of Adventure will be available in the in-game shop until October 1, 2023.

You should note that all the tasks of this paid Pokemon Go Research quest should be completed by October 2, 2023, at 8 PM local time.

The brand-new Hisuian Growlithe Wig is available for your in-game avatar during the Pokemon Go Out to Play event. The item will cost 200 Poke Coins and can be purchased even after the event ends.

Pokemon Go Out to Play Route updates

Here are the updates to the Pokemon Go Routes feature in the game:

• Increased Route availability across the globe.
• A lower level requirement for players to create Routes.
• Several quality-of-life improvements, including seeing more Routes listed in the Nearby menu, directional arrows on Routes, and a running count of the Zygarde Cells you’ve collected in the Zygarde Cube details.
