Shiny Unown in Pokemon Go

A Pokemon Go player made an incredible discovery while browsing through their girlfriend’s Pokemon collection: a forgotten rare shundo. The community was surprised she didn’t know she had it all that time.

A Pokemon Go player was shocked after an incredible discovery while checking their girlfriend’s Pokemon collection. Turns out, she was hoarding a rare shundo that was unknown even to her. They took it to Reddit, and the community is still piecing together how it is possible she didn’t notice this rare catch.

Catching a shundo (a perfect stats shiny Pokemon) is quite a feat by itself, but having a Shundo Unown, one of the rarest Pokemon in the whole Pokedex, is even more of an accomplishment. But not noticing you have this incredible Pokemon is hard to believe.

Reddit user BunnyGoHops shared this with the community and spoke about their girlfriend’s catch, a shiny perfect Unown caught back in February 2022.

Other Reddit users are as shocked as BunnyGoHops, and one of them asked: “It was unknown to her?” Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take too long for another player to baptize this rare find as “The hundown.”

Still, it was quite lucky to find this Pokemon in her collection before it was too late, as in another of the comments, one user said: “Good thing she didn’t accidentally delete it!”

The game offers some safety measures to prevent accidental deletions and asks before deleting any shiny, rare, XL, XS, Legendary, or event Pokemon. But accidental deletions can still happen. This Pokemon Go player was lucky to notice this incredibly rare Unown and warn their girlfriend before it was too late.

On the other side, some players are getting a streak of bad luck, as Niantic appears to be unfairly banning people who use the Wayfarer feature, and if we are talking about luck, this player has managed to catch the rarest shundo ever, beating the game in the process.
