A good number of Pokemon Go players had been unable to complete the Season of Legends Special Research tasks involving the Forces of Nature trio of Legendary Pokemon but come January 2024, they can finally complete the 3-year-old quest.

Special Research in Pokemon Go gives trainers all the time they need to complete the quest and with the game announcing all Pokemon in January 2024 Raids, many players will have the chance to progress in The Season of Legends quest that they couldn’t complete.

This Research requires trainers to take snapshots of the Legendary Landorus, Tornadus, and Thundurus in subsequent tasks, and the community either couldn’t get Landorus or the following Legendaries, leaving them stuck for years now.

After a Reddit user named ‘Affectionate-Guess25’ shared a post showing the January 2024 Pokemon Go events, Raids, and featured species, and wrote: “If you are still missing the snapshot of Landorus and his friends, please play in January!!” several users chimed in with their comments, overjoyed at finally being able to complete the pending tasks.

After a user wrote: “OMG WHAT FINALLY!!!” another joked: “It’s been 10’000 years but maybe I’ll be able to take a snapshot of Landorus.”

To this, a player added: “Me too. FYI I found out recently that Thundorus and the Tornadus come after in that line of research. So catch them if you can so you can get snapshots of them after.”

While fans can find the Therian forms of the Legendary trio in January 2024 Raids, their Incarnate forms were available earlier in 2023 and could still count for completion of the snapshot tasks.

But trainers still couldn’t get to the tasks, and a user explained why: “I got the second and third ones done but missed the first one this year. Raids aren’t really my thing as a solo player but I had to cave and get some remote raid passes to get them done.”

While these returning Legendaries are undoubtedly a boon to fans grinding the Season of Legends Research, they are also a great opportunity for those interested in PvP and PvE, as a person stated: “Here they come, the genies of a healthy meta.”
