The Biomes update in Pokemon Go brought a slew of bugs and glitches since its introduction, but it looks like the issues have reached a boiling point, leaving players frustrated with almost every feature in the game.

When Biomes went live during the Rediscover Go campaign, the event featured Pokemon from the Kanto region, and now, two months after the update, players continue to come across the same old species in the wild.

On top of this, the nerf to Poke Balls making Excellent Throws and even basic catches a nightmare has only added to everyone’s woes, making it nearly impossible to catch Pokemon. These were highlighted by user ‘Foulmouth232’ in a Reddit post where they said that the game is currently in “shambles.”

Aside from pointing out the “annoying” list of issues, they also tore into the poor state of the Go Battle League, with Biomes making it so unplayable that Niantic disabled the update for those attending the Pokemon World Championships.

With the OP adding Raids and avatar updates as other parts of Pokemon Go that are in bad shape, fellow trainers shared their two cents.

A player wrote, “It doesn’t feel like the wild Pokemon changed much at all from last season to this one. There are SO MANY to choose from. That would be the easiest change for them to make.” Another stated that the game would feel “incredibly fresh and fun” if every new Season introduced distinct spawns.

Additionally, fans talked about how the GBL, a platform that’s free to play and doesn’t require in-game friends, had become extremely laggy. This led to losses even in battles that they were dominating in.

All of these problems have forced some people to quit Pokemon Go, with some slamming the game for feeling like a “beta.”

With Go Fest 2024 closing in, players would hope that these issues are sorted ASAP so that they can enjoy the grand event stress-free.
