Pokemon Go player’s hunt for rare catch has bittersweet ending
NianticPokemon Go has already added several hundred creatures to the game, and though most of the trainers end up getting their favorite Pokemon, sometimes the RNG in the game ends up ruining their mood.
Pokemon Go is at the end of Adventures Abound, and while we wait for news about the upcoming season, many players have set their objectives on using their recently acquired Master Balls on some of the rarest Pokemon out there: The Galarian Birds.
But to get these elusive Pokemon to spawn, trainers need to spend their Daily Adventure Incense, and have patience, and a huge amount of luck. Even so, these tricky birds might just despawn a quarter of a second after appearing, so trainers must be fast.
And even if trainers manage to initiate an encounter with the Galarian Birds, they tend to flee after the first launch fails. So, it’s a matter of pure luck, and the RNG gods are not always smiling at trainers.
This happened to Reddit user ‘ruger135’ who shared this post with the Pokemon Go community, and lamented its poor luck: “Should I smile or should I cry.”
Though this trainer managed to catch the Galarian Zapdos by using the priced Master Ball, the results when Evaluating the Pokemon after the catch were not as expected: A 0-star Pokemon, which in the best case scenario, can be used as a Gym Holder.
Trainers quickly suggested that ruger135 should save this Pokemon for a special trade: “I would save it for when you become lucky friends with someone so it’s guaranteed to be a Lucky Trade!”
However, one of the trainers commenting on the OP also reminded the rest of the community that Lucky Trades are not always bound to be perfect: “Lucky Trade is not guaranteed 3 star, but almost always.”
Nevertheless, the community offered a lot of useful advice to the OP. And talking about advice, here are some pro-tips every lvl 50 trainer should know. And if you happen to be looking to upgrade your Zygarde, here’s a guide on how to get Zygarde Cells.
