Pokemon Go players reveal best Charcadet evolution for PvP & PvE
NianticThe fan-favorite Charcadet is finally in Pokemon Go, and players have revealed whether Armarouge or Ceruledge is better in the PvP and PvE meta.
With the much-awaited Horizons event in Pokemon Go, players can now get the popular Charcadet in the mobile game.
Charcadet is one of the most iconic Pokemon from the Scarlet and Violet games, and its evolutions, Armarouge and Ceruledge, were the reason behind many fans choosing their Gen 9 version.
Naturally, everyone is curious about which one is better for PvP and PvE battles in Pokemon Go, so when a Reddit user named ‘Duckie_fresh84’ got a Hundo (100 IV) Charcadet and asked the burning question, several players chimed in with their suggestions.
Users mentioned that neither Armarouge nor Ceruledge are meta-breaking in Pokemon Go, but many would opt for Ceruledge as it “looks cooler.” Ceruledge drove many to choose Violet over Scarlet, so the design preference for it is obvious.
A user commented: “Similar mediocre CP, neither gets unique moves, nor a psychic/ghost fast move as of now. So whichever you like the most.”
Armarouge is Fire/Psychic while Ceruledge is Fire/Ghost, so many took their picks based on the type combination. For PvP, one user stated:
“I’m going to push my one Charcadet (so far) into the Great League as Armarouge since there are more Ghost/Fire types than Psychic/Fire types and it might be an interesting candidate for the next Psychic Cup.”
But it looks like the story’s entirely different when it comes to PvE. “I’d say Ceruledge – it has a smidge more base attack (defense and HP are the same) and fire/ghost is a little more useful than fire/psychic imo,” a trainer explained.
Pokemon Go is known for giving better moves during new season updates, so while both Charcadet evolutions can get better down the line, Ceruledge has the edge thanks to its higher Attack stat of 239 than Armarouge’s 234, and offensively better Fire/Ghost-type.
