The Gen 9 fan-favorite Annihilape is all set to make its debut in Pokemon Go but it has a unique evolution method that seems like quite a task for fans. But, a few players have revealed some quick tips to get Annihilape from Primeape, as others lauded the great advice.

With Pokemon Go announcing the Raging Battles event, players can finally get their hands on one of the strongest and most popular Pokemon from Gen 9, Annihilape.

This Fighting/Ghost-type evolves from the iconic Gen 1 species Primeape, and with this new Mon being touted as a monster in all PvP formats, fans are desperate to add it to their teams.

But getting Annihilape is not a typical evolution through Candies, as you will also have to beat 30 Ghost or Psychic-type Pokemon in battles while having Primeape as your Buddy. This unique evolution method has caused much confusion in the community, but luckily, some players have come to the rescue.

Reddit user ‘SSBGOBETA66’ made a post titled “A call to the community” in which they highlighted some quick tips to complete the evolution requirement for Annihilape.

The OP urged Pokemon Go players to put more Ghost or Psychic-type species in Gyms to help trainers fulfill the requirement with Primeape and also to tackle Mega Medicham Raids as it is a part Psychic-type Mon.

The post garnered several responses from Pokemon Go trainers, who revealed some more ways to unlock Annihilape without much effort.

A user wrote: “Friendly battles might work where one can send out 3 weak Psychic or Ghost types for easy grinding” and a fellow player complimented the suggestion by saying: “I didn’t even consider that! Smart!”

Others added: “Blanche has a Metagross on her ML team” and “You could theoretically beat Blanche’s Metagross in the Master League training over and over.” Both these comments refer to the Team Mystic Leader practice battle available to all trainers.

As the OP insisted that “the best method will be through Gyms,” others agreed that it was an excellent idea. “Will try to put Ghost or Psychic Pokemon in the Gym during the event! Thanks!” a fan wrote before another chimed in with: “This is a smart PSA and completely achievable.”

If all these suggestions weren’t useful already, the OP also mentioned: “Another way is farming the Psychic and Ghost Grunt.” These Team Go Rocket Grunts are fairly common in Pokemon Go, and trainers can find them appearing in Balloons and PokeStops.
