Pokemon Go players slam Niantic as Party Play & Routes completely broken
NianticThe release of Party Play in Pokemon Go has led to several issues in the game as more problems with the Routes feature have been popping up. Now, the community is “annoyed” with Niantic as they call out the devs for making the gameplay “bad.”
Routes is one of the biggest features added to Pokemon Go in 2023. Fans continue to try to create Routes and get them approved, and collect Zygarde Cells to get the elusive Zygarde 100% form, a Pokemon that very few players have managed to obtain.
That said, Routes has also faced a lot of backlash from the community as the feature is notorious for having many issues that affect gameplay.
Now, the introduction of Party Play in the game has only made the situation worse as players report several concerns with the game and troll Niantic for these two broken features.
Reddit user ‘Dragoncauli’ created a post where the player complained that they “can’t do a Route in a Party” and added that “The game can’t handle both active at the same time? I walk the same few Routes with my boyfriend daily and yet we can’t be in a Party at the same time too?!”
Pokemon Go players call Party Play & Showcases “unplayable” with Routes
The post sparked comments from several users who reported their frustrations with the bugs and errors as the two features don’t seem to be working together in Pokemon Go.
A user mentioned, “Routes just came out and with this Party update you can’t even utilize it” as it appears that the addition of Party Play has completely broken Routes.
The burning issue among the community was mentioned in a comment: “If you’re on a Route you can’t access Showcases either. They disappear” while another stated, “Yea I have routes that go to Showcases and past Showcases… annoying.”
Many are worried that the three popular features, Routes, Showcases, and Party Play, won’t work together by any means.
“Routes have been around for a while and they’re still buggy. Not to mention Showcases. Imagine if they try to combine the three in one… It will be completely unplayable,” a player explained.
A user questioned, “Why even release the feature especially if it’s not compatible with Routes or Showcases?”
Many have called out Niantic for underutilizing Showcases as the update seems to have brought more bugs, as one person put it, “It breaks search strings, saved raid parties, and any sort of official Go Plus settings all get turned off, etc.”
The “bad” gameplay has left everyone disappointed and they hope that these issues get sorted out as soon as possible.
While Routes and Party Play may be broken, you can still check out details about the upcoming Community Day and the current Raids schedule in Pokemon Go.
