Pokemon Go players stunned by “insane” Galarian Bird catch never seen before
Niantic/The Pokemon CompanyCatching the Galarian Birds in Pokemon Go is a nightmare and players spend their prized Master Ball to grab these super rare Legendaries, no matter how bad the stats. But, a trainer has shocked everyone with an unexpected capture.
The Galarian Birds are the rarest and most difficult Pokemon to capture in Pokemon Go, with a mere 0.3% catch rate.
This makes these three Legendaries some of the most sought-after finds in the game, and most trainers grind their Daily Incense each day in hopes of encountering even one of them.
That’s not all, as they are also the go-to Pokemon to catch with the Master Ball since this precious Poke Ball promises a guaranteed catch.
With every Galarian Bird ending up with bad IVs, a Reddit user named ‘suitable_replies’ was unsure if they should “waste” their Master Ball on a Galarian Articuno they encountered. But, little did they know that it would become one of the most jaw-dropping captures seen in Pokemon Go!
The trainer’s Galarian Articuno had perfect 100 IV stats, completely stunning fans who lauded the incredible catch.
A user commented: “Holy sh*t, I’ve never seen one that didn’t have absolute sh*t IVs, let alone perfect,” as another remarked that the best they’d ever seen had 15/15/11 IVs.
It even shocked a trainer used to catching rare species in Pokemon Go. “Perfect Galarian Articuno!? This is insane! I’ve posted some oddly rare stuff, but this beats all of that,” they said.
As more players recounted how they couldn’t even catch one Galarian Bird, a user said their flee rate is 90%. So, these Legendaries don’t necessarily flee after the first throw.
These three remain the most coveted catches in Pokemon Go, but with their shinies not available yet, many are saving their Master Ball for their shiny versions.
As you grind for the Galarian Bird trio in Pokemon Go, here’s how to check if they have perfect IVs beforehand and keep a lookout for other rare encounters like Frigibax.
