A Pokemon Go player has left fans in disbelief with a back-to-back haul of the rarest Legendary spawns in the game within minutes that ironically ended up being extremely unlucky as well.

When it comes to catching the best and the most popular Pokemon in Pokemon Go, none’s more sought-after than Legendaries. While most of them are available in Raids, the elusive Galarian Bird trio can only be encountered through Daily Incense.

However, these three powerful species from Gen 8 are not only extremely rare but also have a ridiculously low catch rate of 0.3%, the lowest in the mobile game.

While most fans have yet to find them, let alone catch them, a Pokemon Go trainer’s unbelievable experience with the Galrian Birds has shocked everyone.

Reddit user ‘Miksuinen’ shared a screengrab of their Pokemon Go journal in a post that showed three consecutive Galarian Articuno misses within 10 minutes. The player wrote: “Is this a joke Niantic?” as their post invited lots of comments from surprised players.

Users expressed their shock at the player’s experience, as they commented: “How is that even possible?” as well as “Wow that is crazy! I’ve never seen this before.”

Interestingly, one player mentioned that there was only a “0.052% chance to catch all 3,” to which the OP replied, “The odds really weren’t on my side in catching them. Still can’t believe I even encountered 3 with the same incense.”

Others highlighted the experience with comments that read: “Getting three Galar Birds in one Incense is… A LOT rarer than catching a high-level one” and “Damn that’s crazy lol… the roller coaster of emotions you must have gone through lol.”

But one user summed it up by commenting: “The fact you got 3 encounters in a single incense is amazing. You should be thrilled. With a catch rate of 0.3% and a flee rate of 90% I am not surprised you didn’t catch any.”

While it’s not known why OP didn’t use a Master Ball or whether they had the rare Poke Ball with them or not, it goes without saying that they were definitely lucky to score a hat-trick with the encounters.
