Pokemon Go Raid schedule for August 2024
NianticRaids let you catch some of the strongest finds in Pokemon Go, including Legendaries, Ultra Beasts, and Mega Evolutions.
These Pokemon are powerful enough to help you ace the Go Battle League and Team Go Rocket challenges, so you won’t want to miss out on adding them to your teams.
Here’s the complete schedule of Raids in August 2024 to help you catch ’em all.
Mega Raid schedule in Pokemon Go
Sprite | Pokemon | Dates |
---|---|---|
Mega Aggron | August 1 – August 3 | |
Mega Aerodactyl | August 3 – August 12 | |
Mega Kangaskhan | August 12 – August 21 | |
Mega Salamence | August 21 – September 3 |
To easily beat these Mega Raids in Pokemon Go, parties of three to five high-level players are recommended. Of course, having strong counters with effective attacks is the key to beating the timer and can let you win the battle with even fewer trainers.
Shadow Raid schedule in Pokemon Go
Sprite | Shadow Pokemon | Difficulty |
---|---|---|
Mareep | 1-Star | |
Wooper | 1-Star | |
Cranidos | 1-Star | |
Shieldon | 1-Star | |
Nuzleaf | 3-Star | |
Manectric | 3-Star | |
Vibrava | 3-Star | |
Suicune | 5-Star |
You can battle powerful Shadow Pokemon with special game mechanics and items. You should note that these Raids are available alongside regular ones.
Also, 5-Star Shadow Raids are only active on weekends and can only be done locally. You can expect them to be more challenging than usual, so it’s recommended to tackle them with a group of five or more trainers.
Pokemon Go 5-Star Raid Bosses
Sprite | Pokemon | Dates |
---|---|---|
Tornadus Incarnate | August 1 – August 3 | |
Moltres | August 3 – August 12 | |
Thundurus Incarnate | August 12 – August 21 | |
Xerneas | August 21 – September 3 |
5-Star Raids feature Legendaries or Ultra Beasts and are very tough to beat. The recommended number of trainers varies from four to up to ten players between levels 40 and 50. When it comes to Ultra Beasts, some of them can even be soloed.
Pokemon Go 3-Star Raids
Togetic | Solosis | Wyrdeer |
One high-level trainer can challenge 3-Star Raids alone, but you’ll be battling against the clock. If you play your cards right and use type advantages, you should be able to clear them before time runs out.
1-Star Raid Bosses
Hoothoot | Marill | Nosepass | Cutiefly |
1-Star Raids are the easiest challenges and can be done by one trainer alone, so keep that in mind when checking the current rotation.
Also, it’s important to note that most in-game events override the Bosses, so make sure you check this article often to stay up to date.
What are Raid Hours in Pokemon Go?
Raid Hours are usually hosted once a week, usually on a Wednesday, and allow players to battle and catch the current 5-Star Pokemon. That means all Gyms with active Raids will feature that Legendary.
The next Raid Hour features Thundurus Incarnate and will be held on August 14. This battle will take place between 6 PM and 7 PM (local time).
Make sure you have enough regular and Remote Raid Passes to take full advantage of all Raids and add more in-game friends to invite them to these challenging Pokemon Go battles.
