Pokemon Go announced a new event featuring Fire types, so here’s everything you need to know about Scorching Steps, including dates, debuts, and much more.

Pokemon Go is getting ready to celebrate a new edition of Go Fest Global, but that doesn’t mean trainers can’t enjoy other events in the meantime. A new special event is coming soon to give players the chance to get one of the rarest species out there.

Pokemon Go Scorching Steps event dates

The Scorching Steps event will take place in Pokemon Go from Friday, June 21, at 10 AM to Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 8 PM (local time).

This is the second event of the Shared Skies season and will arrive after the Slumbering Sands event that features shiny Komala’s debut.

The Pokemon Go Scorching Steps event will feature the debut of shiny Larvesta, so here are the species that will hatch from Eggs during the event:

2 km Eggs

• Growlithe*
• Slugma*
• Houndour*
• Magby*
• Larvesta*

5 km Eggs

• Hisuian Growlithe*
• Darumaka*
• Litwick*
• Larvesta*
• Litleo*

10 km Eggs

• Larvesta*
• Turtonator*
• Charcadet

Pokemon marked with (*) can be shiny in Pokemon Go. During the event, Larvesta can hatch from 2km, 5km, and 10km Eggs. However, Larvesta is still the toughest species to get from Eggs, so you’ll have to be extremely lucky to hatch one and possibly get a shiny Larvesta.

Pokemon Go Scorching Steps Research

The Scorching Steps event in Pokemon Go will feature themed Field and Timed Research for players to get more rewards.

Trainers who spin PokeStops during the event will get event-themed tasks, and completing them will reward players with Slugma, Litleo, or Turtonator encounters.

On the other hand, the free Timed Research available to all players will grant Stardust, XP, and encounters with event-themed Pokemon upon completion.

Pokemon Go Scorching Steps event bonuses

Pokemon Go players will enjoy the following bonuses during the Scorching Steps event:

• 2x Candy from hatching Eggs.
• 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event.
• 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance for the first three Eggs hatched during the event using the Pokemon Go Egg hatching widget.
• Increased chance to encounter and hatch shiny Slugma and shiny Litleo.
