Pokemon Go is doubling down with events during the World of Wonders season, and players are eager for what’s coming. The Sizeable Surprises event will feature highly anticipated Raids as well as bring many shiny debuts to the mobile game.

Pokemon Go Sizeable Surprises event dates

The Sizeable Surprises event will take place from Thursday, April 4, at 10 AM to Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 8 PM local time in Pokemon Go.

Pokemon Go Sizeable Surprises shiny debuts

The Sizeable Surprises event in Pokemon Go will feature the highly anticipated debuts of shiny Wimpod, shiny Celesteela, and shiny Kartana.

Wimpod is a sought-after species that trainers need to grind for. It can evolve into Golisopod with 400 Candy, so many players are already working towards that goal.

On the other hand, the World of Wonders season features a lot of Ultra Beasts, so players will finally get the chance to add a couple of shinies to their collection with Celesteela and Kartana.

The following Pokemon will appear more frequently in the wild during the Pokemon Go Sizeable Surprises event:

Pokemon Go Sizeable Surprises Field Research & Collection Challenges

Pokemon Go players will be able to complete event-themed Field Research tasks and new Collection Challenges thanks to the Sizeable Surprises event.

Trainers who spin PokeStops during the event will get Field Research tasks they can complete to get encounters with Onix, Snorlax, Wailmer, Tynamo, Cutiefly, and Wimpod.

Additionally, players will be able to catch different Pokemon to complete new Collection Challenges to get Razz Berries, Pinap Berries, XP, and encounters with Wimpod and Wailmer.

Pokemon Go Sizeable Surprises event bonuses

The following bonuses will be active during the Sizeable Surprises event in Pokemon Go:

• 2x XP for successfully catching Pokemon with Nice Throws or better.
• Increased chance to encounter XXS and XXL Pokemon in the wild.
• Increased chance to encounter shiny Wailmer.
