Pokemon Go is ready to celebrate its seventh anniversary with in-game events and highly-requested debuts. Here’s everything that’s coming to the mobile game in July.

Right before the Dark Flames event kicks off in Pokemon Go, Niantic revealed everything coming to the game in July 2023. Pokemon Go is getting ready to celebrate its seventh anniversary and players can join the festivities with in-game events, important debuts, and more.

So, without further ado, here’s everything coming to Pokemon Go in July 2023.

Mega Tyranitar & Mega Sableye debut in Pokemon Go

The biggest news, although it was leaked earlier, is that Mega Tyranitar is finally coming to Pokemon Go. The Armor Pokemon will headline Mega Raids between July 25 and August 4, right before Pokemon Go Fest 2023 starts.

Mega Sableye will also debut in Pokemon Go, headlining Raids between June 29 and July 6. While this debut was already announced as part of the Dark Flames event, players are excited to face it soon.

Lucky trainers might even get the chance to catch shiny Mega Tyranitar or Mega Sableye since both Pokemon are also debuting their shiny variants.

Everything coming to Pokemon Go with the July content update

Niantic also revealed all the events players will be able to celebrate in July in Pokemon Go. The 7th Anniversary Party event will bring Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres back to 5-Star Raids from July 6 to July 12. After that, Regieleki and Regidrago will headline 5-Star Raids, leaving behind the in-person-only Elite Raids.

Rufflet, Wailmer, Rhyhorn, and Yungoos will have their Spotlight Hours during July, so keep an eye on our schedule. July will have two different Community Days as well. A Community Day Classic featuring Squirtle will take place on July 9, while the July Community Day will arrive on July 30. Niantic haven’t revealed the headliner for this event yet.

Catching some Z’s is an event coming to Pokemon Go on July 15 and July 16. Players suspect Snorlax will be the main star of this event. The Pokemon Go+ Plus accessory will hit US shelves on July 14 and The Pokemon Company anticipated it will help players get a costumed Snorlax, so the event might be related to that launch.

To round out the July schedule, Lucario fans will get a Riolu Hatch Day on July 22. Last but not least, the Adventure Week event will take place from July 27 to August 2, but it’s too early to tell what it’ll bring.

The Hidden Gems season is already looking more eventful than its predecessor and the July schedule will build on top of that with exciting activities for players to tackle.
