A much-requested PokeStop Showcase feature by Pokemon Go fans may never see the light of day as the ongoing Sizeable Surprises was the perfect opportunity to add it to the mobile game.

The Sizeable Surprises event in Pokemon Go kicked off with plenty of hype, featuring shiny Pokemon debuts like Wimpod, and Ultra Beasts like Kartana and Celesteela in Raids. But, players feel there was a huge missed opportunity with PokeStop Showcases.

A trainer with the username ‘Quacking92’ shared a Reddit post in which they wrote, “Since they didn’t make XXS showcases for this event, it’s safe to assume that they won’t make any for the foreseeable future.”

The OP further added that the Sizeable Surprises event, themed around Pokemon both big and small, would have been the “perfect, most fitting occasion” to host Showcases for XXS species alongside the usual XXL features in PokeStops.

Others couldn’t help but agree with the OP and many said that they had been saving their XXS collection for future Showcases, but are now sure that “it will never happen.”

You should know every single Showcase since the addition of the feature has always hosted XXL Pokemon only. “They could at least let two players win a showcase – the first place for biggest and last place for smallest? Shouldn’t be too hard to code IMHO,” prompting everyone to state that such an addition would be amazing.

While Niantic may not add XXS, you can still make your favorite XXLs participate in the ongoing PokeStop Showcases and grab some exciting in-game items as rewards.
