Pokemon Go’s Mega Lucario Raids guarantee rare item you don’t want to miss
NianticPokemon Go devs Niantic have revealed a surprise bonus for Mega Lucario Raid Day ticket holders, giving trainers a great incentive to grind the event.
While everyone can battle Mega Lucario Raids and enjoy increased shiny chances, the ticket costing $5 (or the equivalent in your local currency) rewards trainers level 31 and up with a guaranteed XL Candy for each capture.
With XL Candies extremely rare and necessary to max out this powerhouse, the community was hyped when Niantic made an official X post to confirm the perk. The devs also added in the comments that ticket holders level 31 or below can get a guaranteed Rare Candy.
Those who hadn’t brought the ticket seemed to be won over, with one commenting: “OKAY, I will fall for this. Raiding is SO boring but rare XLs are too sweet!” with more admitting they were “100% sold” as well.
This hype emerged from the Primal Kyogre and Groudon Raid Days in March messing up XL Candy gains after promising increased chances of getting the item. But unlike that event, XL Candy is guaranteed for Mega Lucario.
The Mega Lucario Raid Day takes place on July 27, 2024, from 11 AM to 5 PM local time. With a whopping six hours of Raids across every Gym in Pokemon Go, you can grab tons of XL Candy with the ticket.
Whether you purchase the ticket or not you can still participate in these battles with the Remote Raid Pass limit increased to 20 for the event. But, if you’re looking to farm XL Candy for this brand-new Mega, you will need the ticket.
Keep in mind that Mega Lucario is all set to become the best Fighting-type species in Pokemon Go. To beat it easily, use counters such as Primal Groudon and the Mega Evolutions of Garchomp, Charizard, and Blaziken.
