The Pokemon CompanyAn eagerly-awaited update for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is finally here and it fixes several bugs for Pokemon Home and the Teal Mask DLC. We’ll walk you through every single update included in the Pokemon S&V 2.0.2 patch notes.
Update 2.0.2 for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is now live and as predicted by many Pokemon fans, it brings various bug fixes, particularly in the Teal Mask DLC and Pokemon Home.
There’s a handful of bug fixes to cover, so here are all the details about the 2.0.2 patch notes for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet 2.0.2 update explained
The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet 2.0.2 patch notes mainly focus on Teal Mask DLC bug fixes and fixes to species transfers from Pokemon Home. Also, the update has sorted out an issue during the final boss battle in the Paldea region.
In the Teal Mask DLC, some players were unable to record victories from their battles against the Ogre Clan Members of Kitakami, making it difficult for them to earn certain items and make progress in the game. Those who experienced this issue can now properly challenge the Ogre Clan trainer battles.
Fans were unable to transfer certain species from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet via Pokemon Home. This bug has been fixed, and the issue has been resolved so species originating from Pokemon Go can eventually be sent to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet via Pokemon Home.
Update 2.0.2 of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet also sorts out an issue where the game would crash during the Paradise Protection Protocol battle in Area Zero if players had already registered Koraidon or Miraidon to their Pokedex.

- Under certain conditions, victories against the NPC Trainers scattered across the game world may not have been recorded. As a result, the rewards players could earn by winning a certain number of battles — such as from Pokémon League representatives in the Paldea region or Ogre Clan members in the land of Kitakami — were not obtainable. This bug has been fixed, so players who experienced this issue can now challenge affected NPC Trainers again to record their victories and subsequently receive any eligible rewards.
- It was not previously possible to transfer certain special Pokémon to Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet via Pokémon HOME if those Pokémon were brought into Pokémon HOME from Pokémon GO, even if a Pokémon of the same species had already been obtained in Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet prior to version 1.3.2. This bug has been fixed, and the issue has been resolved.
- Other select bug fixes have been implemented.
