Pokemon fans love the ‘Jigglypuff seen from above’ meme first featured in the anime 25 years ago, and now, Scarlet and Violet players have found a reference to the infamous meme in the Indigo Disk DLC, creating a lot of excitement among the community.

The Indigo Disk DLC of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is in full swing, and fans are playing the game day in and day out as they catch all the new Pokemon and complete the fascinating storyline involving Kieran, Terapagos, and so much more.

But trainers taking part in the Blueberry Quests (BBQ) in the Terarium have spotted an interesting Easter egg that hints at a classic Pokemon meme dating back more than two decades: Jigglypuff seen from above!

A user named ‘Aquamoth’ made a post on Reddit that showed a part of the Indigo Disk BBQ that asks the trainer to catch a certain species in the Terarium of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and captioned it with: “They knew what they were doing when they added this quest,” referring to the iconic meme.

For those unaware of the meme’s origin, it’s based on a popular sequence from the Pokemon anime Season 1 Episode 56 titled ‘The Ultimate Test,’ and involves Ash Ketchum and Team Rocket members Jessie and James (in disguise) taking part in a test under the supervision of an instructor asking questions on various Pokemon.

In one question, the instructor shows a perfectly round silhouette and asks everyone to guess which Pokemon it is. While Voltorb or Electrode seem to be the obvious guesses, the instructor reveals it to be a ‘Jigglypuff seen from above,’ creating a hilarious moment that became a popular meme among fans.

Fan expressed their delight on seeing the meme with comments such as: “‘Jigglypuff Seen from Above’ is in the terrarium? That’s awesome!” and “Lmao I love the TV show reference (I still laugh when I see the clip as a meme once in a blue).”

Adding to the hilarity, a person stated: “Coming in here to make the ‘Jigglypuff seen from above’ post” as more users joined the bandwagon.

Indigo Disk DLC players can see the obvious silhouette reference in the BBQ.

When a few asked how they could bag the quest in question, a fan replied: “Have to play in a union circle (which if you have people to play with builds BP way faster anyway) and finish 3 red quests between you. Then you get a gold quest.”

“It’s one of the group quests so you will never get it playing solo. Group quests appear after completing 30 solo tasks total in a group,’ another explained.

Funnily enough, the silhouette may be a ‘Jigglypuff’ seen from above’ reference, but the Pokemon it indicated in the Terarium is actually a Solosis.
