Spoilers ahead! There’s more to the Indigo Disk DLC than expected as a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet player has urged players to visit the mysterious Crystal Pool in Kitakami Island to find a familiar face.

The Indigo Disk DLC of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has fans buzzing over the new Pokemon in the Terarium, challenging Elite Four battles, a formidable champion, and the opportunity to catch the Legendary Terapagos.

While fans return to their club rooms in the Blueberry Academy after catching the powerful Legendary in Area Zero of the Paldea region, most appear to have completely missed an “important” encounter with a known figure in the Crystal Pool of Kitakami.

A user with the handle ‘hsinhsung9487’ on the X app (formerly Twitter) shared a post captioned with: “If any of you haven’t returned to the Crystal Pool after catching Terapagos, do yourself a favor and go there as soon as possible.”

The OP also attached three screengrabs from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, including Carmine’s description of the Crystal Pool in Teal Mask DLC and a Journal Entry by Professor Sada/Turo.

The encounter in question is with Professor Sada/Turo (depending on the Scarlet/Violet version) who is brought to the Crystal Pool by the protagonist’s Terapagos.

On making their appearance, the professor who seemingly time-travels courtesy of Terapagos engages in a conversation about their research on the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, Kiradon/Miradon, and finally exchanges their Scarlet/Violet book with the white volume in the protagonist’s bag.

The post prompted comments from several players who were in awe of the postgame sequence in the Indigo Disk DLC.

“I didn’t realize how many people missed this,” a user wrote before another added: “Unless you think to go back to under depths you’d never know.”

While it is indicated in the scene that Terapagos summoned the professor to the Crystal Pool, the OP mentioned a very interesting point that adds more depth to the encounter.

Professor Sada/Turo was killed during the accident with Paradox Pokemon in the Area Zero lab.

“Another thing to note is, that the Crystal Pool is known to summon dead people whom you want to meet,” the trainer commented. “I combined this and made the conclusion that, Terapagos only summoned the professor due to Agias (Koraidon/Miraidon) wish to meet them one last time, hence why they play a role in the cutscene.”

Weighing in on this theory, a fan replied: “That, and so the name of Agias is stuck in the timeloop. Being the only Paradox named and not stuck with its science name.”

Players should note that Koraidon and Miraidon have original Paradox names Winged King and Iron Serpent respectively, and are the only Paradox Pokemon to get named by the professor.

After you meet the professor in your Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC version, have a look at the best species to explore the Terarium with the Synchro Machine feature.
