Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC leak reveals grisly new Ursaluna form

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s first DLC, The Teal Mask, is just around the corner, and before its launch, a new leak hinted at what it seems to be Ursaluna’s new regional form. Spoilers ahead.

A reliable source of Pokemon leaks has posted a new piece of information about a possible new Ursaring evolution coming to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC: The Teal Mask. It would seem that Ursaluna is getting a new form nicknamed “Bloodmoon Ursaluna.”

CentroLeaks also revealed two Pokedex entries for this allegedly regional form of the Peat Pokemon. The Pokemon Scarlet Pokedex entry seems to point out the origin of this regional form, while the Pokemon Violet entry points towards its possible type and abilities.

This leak and other information being distributed by unofficial accounts should always be taken with a pinch of salt, but if revealed to be true, Ursaluna could become the third Pokemon to have two different regional forms, besides Meowth and Tauros.

Bloodmoon Ursaluna

It crossed the sea and drifted ashore in a new land. Surviving in this place led it to take on a unique appearance and gain special powers.

This “Bloodmoon Ursaluna” form looks pretty intimidating for a Pokemon game, which has led some fans to have doubts about it. Others are already trying to connect the dots regarding the conditions for its evolution: “So this is what happens when Ursaring evolves during a Lunar Eclipse?”

Some of the players are already speculating about Bloodmon Ursaluna being Ground/Steel-type, as the information leaked in the Pokemon Violet Pokedex entry says: “This special Ursaluna can see in the dark with its left eye and protects itself with mud that is as hard as iron.”

Previous leaks from Centro Leaks also revealed some story-based info regarding Perrin, the photographer character showcased during The Teal Mask reveal trailer. She is scouting a region named “Timeless Woods” in search of a “mysterious Pokemon.”
