A few Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC players have found some details hidden in plain sight about BB Elite Four member Lacey, going all the way back to the Legends Arceus timeline.

The BB (Blueberry) Elite Four in the Indigo Disk DLC of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have been warmly received by Pokemon fans, who loved the challenging battles as well as its members.

Among them, trainers are particularly fond of Lacey due to her team of Fairy-types and funny antics during the storyline. But now, fans have discovered some interesting details about her, that give more insights into her origins as well as her love for all things pink.

It all started when a Reddit user named ‘Modernia’ made a post titled: “Something I just noticed about Lacey (minor spoilers)” and mentioned that Lacey’s eyes and hair are a direct reference to the character Lian from Pokemon Legends Arceus while adding that “her obsession with pink might be an allusion to her Pearl Clan heritage.”

The post grabbed the attention of fellow Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers, who hadn’t noticed the Easter eggs before, and commented: “I completely missed the Lian ancestry, that’s so cool omg” and “Didn’t even consider it, nice catch.”

Another fan mentioned how both DLCs had descendants from the Hisui region in Legends Arceus. “This also means that we have both a Diamond Clan descendant (Perrin) and a Pearl Clan descendant (Lacey) introduced in SV. They were also each introduced in a different DLC, which is neat.”

Others added how Unova Gym Leader Clay, also confirmed as Lacey’s father in the Epilogue scenes, bears a striking similarity to Lian. “90% of legends characters are someone’s ancestor,” a trainer said. “Lian is basically Clay but Kid, so it’s like: ‘Yeah, he’s Clay’s grandpa’.”

As others pointed out that Clay has the same eyes and hat as Lian, it seems to be canon that Lacey’s origins trace back to the infamous Pearl Clan from the Hisui region.

After battling Lacey, you can do some fun things in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Indigo Disk DLC such as the Synchro Machine feature, and explore the secret room in Area Zero.
