Pokemon Scarlet & Violet fans find worrying Easter egg in Teal Mask DLC
The Pokemon CompanyThose who have played the Teal Mask DLC of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have observed something really strange about the rival character Kieran, and it could hint at something “bad” for him in the Indigo Disk DLC.
The Teal Mask DLC has impressed Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans with its amazing lore involving the Legendary Ogerpon and the Loyal Three: Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti.
Parts of the game have indicated that there may be a hidden Pokemon based on a peach, that is the leader of the Loyal Three and is responsible for their corruption in the storyline.
But there seems to be more than meets the eye as fans couldn’t help but notice some strange details about the rival Kieran’s character in the DLC that could relate him to the mysterious Pokemon that is yet to be revealed.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players are convinced there’s something off with Kieran in DLC
Reddit user ‘OpticalProteinFiber’ shared a couple of screenshots of Kieran with hints of a strange purple smoke around his hands in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Teal Mask DLC.
The user wrote “Uhh… guys? I think this is bad” and the post prompted several players to share their opinions and theories about the same.
When one asked for context, a player replied: “When Kieran punches the Loyal 3 shrine, a puff of purple smoke comes out. You can see it clearer in motion and right after that, the Loyal 3 got revived. And you can see the same cloud of purple smoke near Kieran’s right hand in the official art of Indigo Disk.”
It appears that this isn’t the only occasion where fans have spotted something going on with Kieran’s hand as another added: “When you beat him at the third sign he clenches his fist and there is a weird distortion effect around his hand as well. Thought it was just my eyes the first time I saw it but it is clear and intentional.”
Some users wondered what is so “bad” about Kieran’s behavior and this was answered in a comment:
“It is currently believed that the loyal three got their powers from a Momotaro/peach-themed master, who in return gets some amount of control or influence over those it empowers. Presumably, Kieran encountered it after he started getting lied to and was sent to the shrine to resurrect the three.
“He isn’t just a moody teen, he’s been turned against us by an evil force and given magical powers to fulfill his dream of destroying us.”
