The Synchro Machine of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has become one of the favorite additions to the Indigo Disk DLC, but fans are desperate for a couple of much-needed updates to the feature.

The Indigo Disk DLC of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has become a huge hit among fans, as the addition brought several new Pokemon, challenging Elite Four battles, returning Legendaries, and the Synchro Machine feature.

With this new feature, you can explore the Terarium of the Blueberry Academy by syncing with any Pokemon in your team and adventuring across the wilderness through their point of view.

Though fans are having an amazing time trying out various Synchro Machine Pokemon, they feel that the feature calls for a much-needed update that’ll help them in their grind.

It all began after a Reddit user named ‘xoCelestexo’ shared a clip of them using the Synchro Machine in the Indigo Disk DLC and then coming across a shiny Scizor in a mass outbreak of the iconic Gen 2 Pokemon.

Captioned with: “WHYYYYY SHINY SCIZOR” as the OP couldn’t encounter the shiny due to being in Sync mode, the post led to comments from fellow trainers who could relate to the situation and suggested some updates.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players who come across shinies while synchronizing end up losing them if they are located far away, as they despawn by the time they arrive at the said location.

This prompted a user to write: “They really need to add a way to catch mons in this mode,” to which a player replied: “My suggestion: an option to stop Synchro and immediately teleport the player to [the] current position, without despawning Pokemon.”

Another fan mentioned: “It’s so insane that there isn’t some way to summon your trainer over to your position to start a battle while in this mode…it makes this entire mode pretty much unplayable for me bc I’m so scared of finding and missing out on a shiny.”

As more players shared how they lost shinies they encountered during Synchronizing, one of them figured that it would be good to not encounter them at all during the feature.

“I definitely hope they take a lesson from this so that, if syncing is a thing again in future gens, shinies are turned off while doing it,” the user explained.

Fortunately, there still seems to be a way to get shinies from the Synchro mode, as long as you aren’t too far away, as one put it, “Your trainer wasn’t that far away… You probably could have desynchronized and caught it.”

To this, a user confirmed: “I’ve seen 2 shiny Duraludon while synchro’d, but if you’re in the same area you can unsynchro and it won’t despawn.”

If you’re looking for some Steel-type shinies as cool as Scizor in the Indigo Disk DLC, here’s how to get Archaludon and Metagross in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
