Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players convinced they’ve found horrifying “true identity” of popular NPC
The Pokemon CompanyRaifort may appear to be just a regular History teacher in the Naranja/Uva Academy of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, but a few fans have discovered some chilling details that hint towards her being something else altogether.
With the Indigo Disk DLC released, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players are uncovering everything about the Legendary Terapagos, Area Zero, and they finally get to see the new Mythical Pecharunt, that allegedly caused all the chaos involving Kieran and the Loyal Three in the Teal Mask DLC.
Now, a few keen-eyed trainers may have uncovered a shocking secret about the NPC (non-playable character) Raifort, who teaches History in the Naranja/Uva Academy of the Paldea region, which is related to one of the most terrifying Pokemon in existence.
A user named ‘SuperLegenda’ shared a Reddit post captioned with: ” Seriously, WHAT is she up to!?” as the post shows an interaction between Raifort and the Ghost-type Gym Leader from the Paldea region, Ryme, in a post-game sequence from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
The interaction involves Ryme saying, “Hold up lady! You’re nig-time haunted! There’s a ghost practically ridin’ piggyback on you!” and fans have formed an interesting theory from the dialogue.
A user laid out the popular theory about Raifort by commenting: “I have always said that she is a Hisuian Zoroark. The hair, the general aesthetic, manipulating you into unleashing the Treasures of Ruin and then hinting that you should give them to her.”
“Zoroark is her lead too,” they continued. “I say Hisuian specifically because of her focus on history and legends; it’s a lot easier to disguise the fact that you’re a ghost by claiming you’re just a history buff.”
Elaborating on OP’s post, the user added: “It would make sense for Ryme of all people to pick up on her true identity if she were a Ghost-type Zoroark.”
Another person mentioned an interesting tidbit about Hisuian Zoroark’s lore: “That… is quite a good and possible theory, Zoroarks have been shown to be perfectly capable to 100% emulate a human and speech so… yeah.”
With the Indigo Disk DLC still having some questions unanswered, the community hopes that the game sheds more light on Raifort and her true intentions. It would undoubtedly be a memorable moment for fans if she’s revealed to be a Hisuian Zoroark in disguise.
