The Pokemon CompanyThe Teal Mask DLC has given Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans many reasons to rejoice but they seem to be particularly impressed with the updated textures on some of the returning species in the DLC.
After the much-awaited release of the Teal Mask DLC in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the Pokemon community has been on the lookout for the rarest and strongest species in the game.
But on their quest to catch ’em all, fans couldn’t help but notice a surprising update in the graphics of the DLC, such as the brand-new textures on several Pokemon in Kitakami Island.
So, when a player posted about being impressed with the updated textures on Kommo-o, several users were quick to join in and share their views on the same.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players are impressed with new Teal Mask DLC graphics
Reddit user ‘Dracorex232’ shared a post that showed a shiny Kommo-o caught in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Teal Mask DLC.
According to the OP, Kommo-o has “one of the best texture updates” in the game, feeling as if “the sickly green actually looks more like a brilliant gold now.”
The post invited comments from several Scarlet and Violet players who seemed to be equally impressed with the DLC graphics.
A user commented, “it shows they improved on multiple things. Obviously the texture but also the lighting. Kommo-o got one of the best upgrades.”
Others shared similar opinions as one user mentioned, “yeah definitely one of the best updates! Love how much smoother everything looks. Gameplay has gotten way better with it.”
Another chimed in, “I saw the texture update with the non-shiny, and immediately sent my shiny girl into Scarlet. The Pokemon textures in this game look really good.”
But it looks like Kommo-o is not the only Pokemon to be treated with a graphics update as players had good things to say about the textures of other species as well.
“Oh god, Forretress shiny has become fantastic all because of this change.”
A few comments also mentioned Pokemon such as Bisharp, Arbok, Scizor, and the Magnemite line as a player wrote, “I used a (shiny) Bisharp in my DLC team and it looks impressive. The scaly texture also deserves a mention: Arbok has never looked so good.”
It looks like species with metallic or scaly textures on their body are your best bet to clearly make out the new graphics in the DLC.
