With the Indigo Disk DLC of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet bringing the exciting Synchro Machine feature, as well as several updates to popular species, fans are in awe of how “effortlessly cool” a beloved Gen 1 starter has become!

The Indigo Disk DLC has become a huge hit among Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans as the addition brought several new Pokemon to the franchise alongside returning species from previous games, such as the starters and Legendaries.

Additionally, the DLC also introduced the Synchro Machine feature which lets you explore the Terarium of the Blueberry Academy through the eyes of a Pokemon from your team.

This brand-new feature has allowed fans to experience their favorite Pokemon like never before as some species also received some long-awaited upgrades to their graphics and animation.

If there’s one Pokemon that has created quite a buzz among the community due to these updates, it’s the extremely popular Gen 1 starter, Blastoise, as highlighted by Reddit user ‘IntroductionLittle64’ in a post titled: “How Blasty swims.”

The post shows the OP using the Synchro Machine feature on Blastoise in the Indigo Disk DLC as the Water-type starter zooms through water like never seen before, with jets of water pushing it forward.

The clip delighted several fans who couldn’t help but gush over the exciting upgrade to Blastoise.

Several Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players celebrated the now “effortlessly cool” Gen 1 starter by commenting: “It’s reassuring how much unbridled joy this brought me” and “This just made my day. I’ll have to take my shiny Blastoise out for a swim.”

A player lauded the Synchro Machine feature that made this “glorious” animation possible by stating: “That game has so many complicated ways to get Pokemon to do something it’s crazy.”

More fans chimed in with comments such as: “Okay, the jet blasting is super sick, but this is so f***ing funny to visualize that I’m accepting it as my headcanon now” as well as “Blastoise swimming and retracting his cannons back into his shell made the synchro machine my favorite feature.”

Blastoise can finally launch Hydro Pump from its canons.

As if this wasn’t amazing already, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has even worked on a long-standing complaint among the community about Blastoise’s Hydro Pump shooting water from its head.

“They actually fixed the cannons on Blastoise in Scarlet/Violet,” a player wrote, giving Blastoise fans more reasons to rejoice, as another added: “This is quite literally the most personality we have had in Pokemon games for literally decades.”

The new DLC graphics, animation fixes, and Synchro Machine have certainly struck a chord with the community, and if you’re looking for more Pokemon to Synchronise with in Scarlet and Violet, check out how to get Archaludon and Hydrapple in the Indigo Disk DLC.
