Pokemon TCG player proposes to partner using “one-of-a-kind” custom deck

A Pokemon TCG fan made a successful wedding proposal to his girlfriend in a rather unique and sweet way during a random date, winning her heart and everyone’s praise in the process.

The Pokemon TCG franchise gave its fanbase an excellent year in 2023, with exciting new sets from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet focusing on Tera Types, Paradox Pokemon, and shinies.

But the trading card game is more than just collecting and playing various sets as evidenced by a beautiful experience between a Pokemon fan and his girlfriend.

A user named ‘gdaydk’ shared this Reel on Instagram that showcased a couple, Zack and Kati, opening Pokemon cards during a date in a local comic shop. They had been dating for 18 months when Zach finally decided to pop the question but in a different way than usual.

As the two opened their Pokemon TCG packs and checked their draws, Kati was unaware that Zach had included a special custom card at the end of her deck.

When she finally stumbled upon the “one-of-a-kind” card, it read: “Will you marry me?” to which she wasted no time in saying “yes” to her boyfriend’s special proposal.

The Reel generated a buzz in the comments section, with several users expressing just how amazing Zach’s proposal idea was while wishing the couple well.

The Instagram community congratulated the couple with comments such as: ” I hope it’s a Pokemon-themed wedding lol. Congrats to them” as well as “Love this. A mutual interest bringing them together in such a way.”

More users chimed in as they gushed over the video. “I’m glad they found each other,” one mentioned before another fan stated: “They are so precious!!! God bless them.”

That’s not all as one person wrote: “That’s a really perfect date if you ask me honestly” as others claimed that they got “pure joy” from the “cute” Reel.

It goes without saying that this amazing Pokemon TCG proposal has struck a chord with the community as everyone wishes the couple a happy married life!
