A fan theory about the main antagonist of The Indigo Disk was confirmed by a group of perceptive fans, who have pieced together a theory that could have revealed the identity of the upcoming DLC villain.

When the Teal Mask DLC was released back on September 13, fans of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet initiated their school trip to Kitakami Island, to learn about its culture and the story of The Loyal Three and Ogerpon.

But soon after, players discovered that there was a certain hidden Pokemon, who some consider evil, that is, “The Peach Pokemon” as it has been known ever since. This Pokemon symbolizes strife and conflict and has led fans to believe many things about the identity of the real villain in Ogerpon’s tale.

And now, fans finally have proof that this Peach Pokemon was behind Kieran’s strange attitude, and the resurrection of the Loyal Three.

Reddit user ‘Phinome’ posted this on the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet subreddit, and said: “So it’s pretty much confirmed, right?” As you can see in the images above, the Pokemon who’s responsible for all the mess in Kitakami Island was always hiding in plain sight.

Nintendo and Game Freak tend to reveal important info for their franchise through breadcrumbing, and fans are always eager to collect and glue the pieces together.

Still, some fans remain skeptical about the identity of The Teal Mask DLC villain: “If all this foreshadowing doesn’t pull through, it’ll suck. But yes, it’s pretty much confirmed.”

Theory confirms The Indigo Disk DLC main antagonist

As some fans have pointed out, this mysterious Pokemon that fans have named “Dokutaro” (referencing the classic Momotaro Japanese folk tale), manipulated the villagers of Kitakami in the past to steal Ogerpon’s masks but failed.

Then, manipulated The Loyal Three to do its dirty work. When that failed too, it lay in waiting for years.

Until Kieran started to get interested in Ogerpon, this Pokemon used his feelings to manipulate him, resurrecting The Loyal Three in the process, in an attempt to get Ogerpon and its powerful masks for itself.

So, as some of the fans have pointed out, “Kieran looks like a villain now.” As teased by The Teal Mask DLC ending, this character showcases a new look that gives the impression he has suffered a great psychological change.

All seems to point to Kieran being the main antagonist in The Indigo Disk, but will he remain a rival, or will he turn into something darker?

We will learn the truth soon, as Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk will be released on December 14, 2023. You can learn all about The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero here, to prepare yourself for this new journey.
